The Boilermakers face a Rebels squad that has played a weak schedule (307th in SOS, per KenPom) and is coming off an overtime game versus BYU. Ole Miss isn't a reliable shooting team and its defense depends on forcing turnovers, which Purdue doesn't struggle with.

I was wrong about the Boilermakers earlier this season, as I was under the impression their frontcourt was too thin, but they have found something with junior forward Trey Kaufman-Renn, who has stepped up in a major way (17.7 PPG and six boards) this season. Between Braden Smith and Fletcher Loyer, Purdue has an excellent, veteran backcourt, too.
