Royals SP Brady Singer has faced an easy schedule (White Sox twice and Astros once) and is due for negative regression. The Tigers' lineup, on the other hand, is due for positive regression, as their xwOBA is 20 points higher than their actual wOBA.

Singer's opponent, Casey Mize, has much better stuff and as a former top prospect, is still out to prove he's the real deal. I believe he will show up with his best stuff, especially his splitter, against the 17-10 Royals at home. KC has won four straight and didn't dominate last night's game, inflating their stats with seven runs in the ninth inning.

I expect Detroit to lead once both starters depart, after which the Tigers' bullpen (sixth in ERA and third in WHIP) can close the door on the Royals for good!
