If you follow me, you know I'm a big fan of using splits when it comes to pitching matchups. Today, we have another huge discrepancy in Padres starter, Randy Vasquez. At home, he's a competent MLB pitcher with a 3.24 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP. But on the road, it's a different story, as those numbers balloon to 6.08 and 1.70. Not surprisingly, the over has hit in six of his nine starts, including five of his last six.

Gibson's splits aren't as extreme as Vasquez's but his ERA is nearly a full run higher at home with a home WHIP of 1.63 at home vs 1.11 on the road. There's a 10 mph wind blowing straight out to center and that's only going to help us see some crooked numbers tonight.
