This is a Terps team that really likes to throw the ball around the yard. Unfortunately, that plays right into the teeth of the Gophers defense that gives up just 139.6 passing yards per game, which ranks 4th best in the FBS. Maryland’s offense has been very inconsistent and the rushing game is below-average, as they go for just 3.4 ypc (106th). The Gophers should do a good job at keeping the Terps behind the chains, forcing them into 3rd-and-long situations and stalling their drives.

The Gophers offense has been the weak spot all season and they play at a snail’s pace, averaging just 62.2 plays per game (118th). This one will probably won't be much fun to watch but I look for the Minnesota pass defense to put the clamps on the Maryland passing attack and keep this one under the total.
