This game features one of the best passing attacks in the NFL against one of the worst secondaries. Green Bay ranks seventh in the NFL in yards per pass attempt (7.9) and now they get to face a Jacksonville team that ranks 30th in opponent yards per pass attempt (7.6), 27th in opponent dropback success rate, and dead last in opponent dropback EPA.
Jordan Love hasn’t faced much man coverage, but when he does, he’s been outstanding, throwing for six touchdowns, three interceptions, and a 62.3 Total QBR. The Jaguars have used man coverage on 52% of their opponent dropbacks, the fifth highest in the league, and have allowed an 87 QBR when in man coverage.
The Jags offense is just 20th in the league in scoring and the Packers defense, while not getting a lot of publicity, is 10th in points allowed and has given up less than 20 in four of their seven games, including 16.5 ppg on the road.
The Jags got a nice win vs New England last week but that was just a sugar high against an awful team. They crash back to Earth today.
