We’ve heard a lot about how Saquon will run all over the KC defense because he’s been so good all year and has averaged 7.9 ypc in the postseason. While there is no disputing that he is an elite RB in the NFL, the Chiefs defense hasn’t given up 100 yards to a running back since November of ‘23. And he ran all over a Rams rush defense that ranked 29th in defensive ypc and the Commanders, who ranked 31st. The KC defense faced Derrick Henry, Nick Chubb, Najee Harris, James Cook twice, and Joe Mixon twice. They gave up 407 yards on 100 carries 4.07 ypc. Andy Reid is 28-5 regular and postseason off a bye and Spagnolo always seems to make just the right defensive call at exactly the right time. The Chiefs have been on this mission for almost a full year and that focus pays off tonight.
