Both of these teams are elite and are both ranked Top-10 in the polls, KenPom, and NET. The reason I like Tech in this spot is they’re one of the few teams that get pretty close to matching the Cougar’s defensive intensity, especially at home. Tech picked up a one-point win in Houston in OT earlier this season. Not only was that the Cougars' first home loss in two years of Big 12 action, it’s the only time a Big 12 opponent has been closer than 8 points in a Houston home game since they joined the conference. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this one be tight all the way though but I think the home crowd in Lubbock puts the Red Raiders over the top.
