The 49ers defense has been remarkably consistent lately, unfortunately, they’ve been consistently bad. They have surrendered 80.1 ppg in their last 11, with all but one of their opponents scoring 72 or more. Included in that stretch was a 79-75 win over Rice in a game with a total of 138.5. Not surprisingly, they’ve seen the Over go 9-2 in that stretch. The Owls, after starting the season pretty well, saw their defense take a step back, with the Over going 10-6 in their last 16 C-USA games.
