I laid out my case for this Spartans team last Sunday when they buried the Wolverines. For me right now it’s all about the defense. Except for the game at Iowa, where almost every game flies over the total, Michigan St has not given up more than 66 points in their last eight. They’ve also gone 7-0-1 ATS in those games. Those games also came against the best teams in the conference, with six of those wins and covers coming against the teams directly below them in the standings. Wisconsin was one of those teams and Sparty dispatched them by nine as 4-point chalk. The Badgers are a very good squad but it’s at this point in these tournaments where fatigue becomes a factor. I’ll take the team playing their second game in a row vs the team playing their third.
