Both teams have excellent offenses. Cornell shoots 49% field and 38% from deep. Yale 50% field and 39% from downtown. Both are top-25 in 3-point % and Cornell is fourth in the nation in made threes. The Bulldogs have an excellent defense, but because of their fast pace, the Big Red have shown the ability to put up points on Yale. In the two games this season, Cornell has scored 88 each time. One landed 191 and the other landed 180. The encouraging thing for our purposes is the Big Red shot 41.1% in one of them and 47.3% in the other. Yale’s offense is always going to eat, especially against Cornell’s defense, and the pace of play and the number of shots they’re able to get off ensure Cornell will do their part as well.
