This is a good Matadors team that’s done very well…in the Big West. The two times they stepped up in class, they got hammered, losing by 14 to St Bonaventure and 21 to USC. Northridge is a team that lives and dies inside, getting the ball to one of their talented forwards and grabbing a ton of rebounds when they miss. The problem tonight is Stanford has a beast in the middle in Maxime Raynaud who, at 7-1, 255 lbs, has five inches and 55 pounds on the Mats biggest guy. They are not a team that is comfortable moving outside, and they shoot just 19 3-pointers per game, 330th in the country. The Cardinal is battle-tested in the ACC and they have home-court advantage tonight.
