There are two teams that really look to be tanking right now, the Jazz in the West and the Wizards in the East. Wash has lost and failed to cover 7 of their L8, with the sole victory coming against the Sixers. In those losses, one was to Brooklyn, and one was a 16-point pounding at the hands of the aforementioned Utah Jazz. The Wizards have had a problem all season as a lid-range dog, going just 1-10 ATS when their opponent is favored by between 6.5 and 9. They actually covered in their second game of the season and have now failed in their last ten. Meanwhile, the Heat are pretty well locked in as a play-in team, but only 3.5 games are separating the 10 spot from the 7 spot. The Heat would love to have the homecourt advantage for their first series, and they’ve been playing like it lately, winning four straight and covering their last six. These teams have played twice this season, and they ended in a 20-point and 16-point wins for the Heat. Look for more of the same tonight.
