#464 ASA FREE PLAY ON Atlanta +3 over New Orleans, Sunday at 1:00 PM ET - These 2 teams met just 2 weeks ago and the Saints came away with a 24-9 win. New Orleans was favored by 3.5 in that game and the oddsmakers opened this game at the same number despite the game being in Atlanta? We know home field isn’t worth what it normally is but it’s worth something. Better yet, this line was bet down to Saints -2.5 early in the week and it takes come big money from sharps to move a game through a key number of 3. It’s back up to 3 and we like the Falcons here. When these teams met 2 weeks ago it was Taysom Hill’s first start at QB for the Saints. Atlanta wasn’t sure what to expect from New Orleans offensively which gave the Saints an advantage. It will be a different story this time around. Atlanta’s defense won’t be caught off guard. Speaking of Atlanta’s defense, they are quietly playing very well. They held the Raiders to just 6 points here last week in their 43-6 win and since HC Quinn was fired, the Falcons are allowing just 20 PPG after giving up 32 PPG before he was let go. They are 4-2 since Quinn was canned with a 1 point loss and then their setback vs the Saints a few weeks ago. Taysom Hill has never been a proficient passer. He’s more of a RB at the QB position. In his first game vs Atlanta he had a career day with 233 yards passing. That won’t happen here. Hill followed that up with just 78 yards passing last week in their win @ Denver who had no QB’s to play in the game. The Saints rely very heavily on the run with Hill at QB and Atlanta’s defense ranks 6th in the NFL vs the run. Offensively it looks like the Falcons will get both WR Jones and RB Gurley back for this game. Matt Ryan was under pressure in that first meeting but adjustments will be made. When NFL teams meet twice in the span of 3 weeks the 2nd meeting heavily favors the team that lost the first meeting (19-4 ATS over the last 11 years). We like Atlanta in this one
