#884 ASA FREE PLAY ON Clemson -4.5 over Georgia Tech, Friday at 9 PM ET - Talk about massive home/road dichotomies. We have that with both of these teams. Clemson has been very good at home with an 8-1 record and their lone home loss coming vs UVA, the top rated team in the ACC. The Tigers have beaten the likes of Florida State, UNC, Louisville and Syracuse at home. This one sets up nicely as this will be their 3rd straight home game and they’ve had 6 days off since their last game, an easy home win vs Syracuse. The Tigers already faced GT on the road this year (January 20th) and it wasn’t pretty as most of Clemson’s road games. They lost 83-65 and the Jackets offense averaged a ridiculous 1.32 PPP in that game vs a Clemson defense that allows just 0.90 PPP on the season ranking them 11th nationally. In their last 3 home games the Tigers have held their opponents to 50, 50, and 61 points (Louisville, UNC, and Syracuse) three teams that rank in the top 55 in offensive efficiency. Georgia Tech is 0-4 on the road in ACC play with 3 of those losses coming by double digits. They just played a huge home game on Wednesday of this week hosting Virginia. It was a game that Ga Tech led for much of the way but UVA made a late run and won by 8. Tough turnaround for Tech just 2 days later facing an angry Clemson team that has had nearly a full week off. For the season, the Yellow Jackets have a point differential of +3 per game but on the road they are -6. The Tigers at home have a point differential of +9 on the season and they have held opponents to just 39% shooting at Littlejohn Coliseum. Tech is just 1-3 ATS in their 4 ACC road games and Clemson is 8-2-1 ATS their last 11 home games. Great spot for Clemson to get some revenge and we look for their defense to play very well against a GT offense that has scored 58, 61, 62, and 68 points in their 4 ACC road game. Lay the small number with the Tigers at home.
