#612 ASA FREE CBB PLAY ON Richmond -8 over UMass, Tuesday at 6 PM ET - UMASS hasn’t played since Feb 6th due to COVID issue on campus – they’ve only played 11 games the entire season. They’ve only had 2 practices since their prolonged break began in early February and that’ll make it very tough facing this Richmond team. The Spiders play a version of the Princeton offense which is tough to defend if you are not accustomed to it or prepared for it. With just 2 practices we can’t imagine the Minutemen will be ready and with 9 of their 12 players being freshmen or sophomores, most haven’t faced this offense much in their careers. The Spiders are very tough to guard with 5 players averaging double digit points. They rank #1 in the Atlantic 10 in offensive efficiency, FT percentage, and turnover rate. They are also the much more experienced team with 4 seniors in the starting line up. UMASS has a few key guys (FERNANDEZ and MITCHELL) that are still dealing with injuries and head coach McCall wasn’t sure how much either would play. The favorite has covered 5 in a row in this series and Richmond has blown out UMass three straight meetings at home. Lay it.
