ASA FREE PLAY ON Seton Hall -2 over Ohio State, Monday at 6 PM ET - We were on Seton Hall last week when they were +8 @ Michigan and pulled the update winning 67-65. The Pirates are very deep with 10 players averaging double digit minutes. They have 7 players averaging between 9 and 13 PPG. They have been a lock down defensive team so far this season ranking #1 in the nation in eFG% allowed and #1 and 3-point FG% allowed at just 13%! They held the Wolverines, who rank 8th nationally in offensive efficiency, to just 42% from the field and 20% from deep in their win in Ann Arbor last week. Now they’ve had nearly a full week since that win to prepare for this neutral site game in Florida vs another Big 10 team. We felt OSU was overvalued coming into the season and they’ve proven us right so far. They lost last Thursday @ Xavier as a 2.5 point favorite in a game they never held the lead. They also had problems at home with Niagara (won by 10) and Akron (won by 1 – game was tied with 6 seconds left). Their guards have struggled this year with Johnson, Wheeler, and Branham, their 3 main backcourt players, all shooting below 38% from the field. Seton Hall is not the defense you want to be facing if you’re struggling to shoot the ball well. One of OSU’s key players, Justice Sueing, who averaged 10.5 PPG and 6 RPG last year was injured in their 2nd game this season and is not back in the line up yet. We feel Seton Hall is the better team here and getting points on the road. They are rested and ready to take down another Big 10 team on Monday.
