#467/468 ASA PLAY ON 8* Over 48.5 Points – LA Rams vs Minnesota, Sunday at 1:00 PM ET - These 2 both played in low scoring games last week which has pushed this total lower than it should be in our projections. This sets up nicely for an Over play. Minnesota faced Chicago and won 17-9 and that total was set at 47 vs a Bear offense that ranks 29th in scoring, YPP, and YPG. Now this total is only 1.5 points higher vs one of the better offenses in the NFL in perfect conditions in the dome? The Rams beat Seattle 20-10 last week and the total in that game was 47 as well vs an offense that has averaged just 15 PPG in the 6 games since Russell Wilson returned from injury. Minnesota’s defense has been poor. Prior to their game vs the Bears last week they had allowed at least 28 points in 6 of their previous 8 games. Even last week vs a bad Chicago offense, the Bears crossed midfield 8 times yet turnovers and blown opportunities left them with only 9 points. That won’t happen vs this Rams offense that gets one of the best players, RB Akers, back from injury. The Viking offense was rolling prior to last week scoring at least 26 points in their previous 4 games and they averaged more than 6 YPP in each of those games. The LA defense has some decent overall numbers but those were bolstered by games vs terrible offenses as they held Jacksonville to 7 points, Chicago to 14, Detroit to 19, and NY Giants to 11. They have played 6 games this year vs teams ranked in the top half of the NFL in total offense and the Rams have allowed an average of 31 PPG in those games. Both of these teams rank in the top 13 in pace of play. This will be a back and forth offensive game with both teams needing to keep up. Take the Over.
