#453/454 ASA FREE PLAY ON Over 49.5 Points – NY Giants vs Minnesota Vikings, Saturday at 1 PM ET - 2 bad defenses going at it here which will lead to a high scoring game. The Vikings rank dead last in total defense and 31st in YPP defense which the Giants rank 26th and 28th respectively in those categories. Last week the Vikings defense faced an Indianapolis team that had gotten to 20 points only ONCE in their previous 7 games and they scored 36 vs this Minnesota defense. Over the last 6 games the Viking defense has allowed 31 PPG and half of those games were vs offense ranked in bottom 3rd of the NFL. The Giants offense should have plenty of success here as they take a huge step down from the recent defenses they’ve faced. NY has faced 4 straight defenses ranked in the top 8 (Dallas, Philly, and Washington (twice)) and the Giants were able to score at least 20 points in each of those games. They should fare much better vs Minnesota defense who is nowhere near those teams. Minny put up 39 points in ONE HALF last week vs an Indianapolis defense that ranks 12th in the NFL. At home they’ve been very successful averaging over 30 PPG if we toss out their 1 stinker offensively at home vs Dallas. Over their last 3 home games Minnesota is averaging 33 PPG vs 3 defenses ranked in the top 12 in total defense. Viking home games have averaged 52.5 total points and we think this one gets to at least 50. Over is the play.
