Philip Rivers has a 112.1 QB rating in his last five games against the Chiefs with a 12-to-4 touchdown-to-interception ratio. Sparked by Rivers, the Chargers put up 38 points against a tough 49ers defense last week. Rivers will find a way for his offense to put up at least three touchdowns against the Chiefs, who rank 28th versus the run.

Chase Daniel gets the start for Kansas City with Alex Smith out. I'm fine with that. Daniel started last year's regular season finale with San Diego last season and nearly won, losing 27-24. Daniel is schooled in Andy Reid's offense. I don't see a notable drop-off.

The Chargers aren't tackling well, rank 26th in run defense have injuries in their secondary. Jamaal Charles should be in line for a big game. He's averaged 5.6 yards per carry in his last seven games against San Diego.

Weather won't factor in Kansas City as it's a clear day with little wind.
