(MLB) Colorado vs. Atlanta,
Money Line: -120.00 Atlanta (Home)
Result: Win
Atlanta is in rebuilding mode. But compared to the Rockies, the Braves are the '27 Yankees.

The Braves are eight games above .500 at Turner Field. The Rockies are 15 games under .500 on the road.

The Rockies have lost 12 of their last 15 games. That gives the Rockies the distinction of now owning the worst record in baseball at 49-73, which translates into a .402 winning percentage. Colorado players are down in the dumps - Jose Reyes wants out - after just concluding a 2-7 homestand by being swept by the Mets, who held out their two best pitchers during the four-game series.

Colorado was dominated on Sunday by Logan Verrett, who was making his big league debut. Now the Rockies travel to Atlanta to face Julio Teheran, who has been outstanding at home all season with a 2.44 ERA in 12 starts at Turner Field.

Teheran is in good form, too, giving up two earned runs in his last two starts spanning 12 innings. Teheran has a 14-to-3 strikeout-to-walk ratio during this span. He's surrendered just one homer in his last four starts with an August ERA of 2.45 during those four outings.

The key for Teheran, who has struggled with consistency this year especially on the road, is getting more comfortable and confident with his slider and curveball. He's always had the big fastball.

Colorado starter Jorge De La Rosa is having a down season with a 4.50 ERA. He's coming of a season-high 110-pitch count against Washington this past Wednesday. The Rockies' bullpen is shot due to ineffectiveness and overwork. It may be the worst bullpen in the majors.

The Braves' offense is more respectable with Freddie Freeman back in the lineup.
