Stephen Nover's Wednesday Wipeout Winner
(NHL) Montreal vs. Pittsburgh,
Money Line: 123.00 Montreal (Away)
Result: Loss
Any time the Canadiens are underdogs, you have to take notice.

Montreal leads the NHL in goals. Pittsburgh ranks 26th. The Canadiens also are No. 2 in goals against. They are 13-2-1 on the season.

Yet, Montreal is an underdog because star goalie Carey Price remains out, it is on the road and the Penguins have been playing well.

But the Canadiens are an outstanding defensive team no matter who is in the met. Backup goalie Mike Condon has been playing as well as any goalie, too.

Condon has a 1.57 GAA, which leads the NHL. He has started the last five games for Price, who has a lower-body injury. The Canadiens have won four of those games with Condon giving up two goals or less in all five of those games proving his durability.

The Penguins' rising confidence may be down a notch after a 5-2 loss at Calgary this past Saturday. Montreal last played on Saturday, too, so there is no fatigue factor.
