Stephen Nover's NHL Game of the Week
(NHL) Calgary vs. Arizona,
Money Line: -130.00 Arizona (Home)
Result: Win
Things are beginning to get desperate for the Coyotes in their search for a playoff bid. Luckily, they inherit a tremendous situation for this home matchup.

Arizona draws Calgary coming off a dramatic 6-5 road shootout victory over San Jose last night. The Flames have picked up their game, but this is their third game in four days and they have goalie problems.

Flames starting netminder Karri Ramo injured his left leg late in the victory against the Sharks and won't play tonight. He'll be replaced by either 33-year-old backup Jonas Hiller, or the Flames would summon a goalie from the American Hockey League perhaps Joni Ortio.

This would be a huge plus for the Coyotes, who lead the NHL in winning faceoffs but have only broken the two-goal barrier once in their last six games.

Calgary is 0-2 versus Arizona this season. The Flames are 3-5 when playing without rest and have lost 22 of their past 31 road games. They return back to Calgary following this game to start a three-game homestand. So they are facing the double whammy of fatigue and focus not to mention being vulnerable in goal.
