I realize Ben Bishop is a great goalie. And if Henrik Zetterberg, Pavel Datsyuk and Gustav Nyquist don't end their goal droughts right now the Red Wings are going to get swept.

But my feeling is a return to Joe Louis Arena is just what the desperate 0-2 Red Wings need to get back in this series. Detroit defeated Tampa Bay at home during both regular season meetings and is 11-3-1 at Joe Louis Arena since the All-Star break.

The Red Wings were close to splitting in Tampa Bay - even in their lopsided Game 2 loss. The teams aren't that far apart.

The combination of Detroit desperation and being at home is enough. It's a big advantage for the Red Wings being allowed to make the last change of lines and personnel, which home ice affords them, especially in combating Tampa Bay's hot line of Tyler Johnson, Nikita Kucherov and Alex Killorn.
