Counting a controversial loss to the Bulls on the final day before All-Star break, the Celtics have lost two in a row. Boston blew a 17-point lead in a road loss to the Raptors this past Friday.
I see this as a stop-the-pain game for Boston. The Celtics are at least one level higher than Detroit. The Pistons don't have a defensive stopper to corral Isaiah Thomas. Detroit's two best players, Reggie Jackson and Andre Drummond, are enduring a terrible month. Jackson's scoring is down 10 points per game in February.
Detroit opened post All-Star break with a 114-108 overtime win against the Hornets. The Pistons, however, are 5-12 ATS following a win.
It's an added bonus if Avery Bradley is ready to play for the Celtics here.
