So why not back the much superior Astros in a 'dog role? Why not indeed. Houston is 25-7 in its last 32 games.

Devenski was very good last season in a relief role. He hasn't been healthy this season. He should be OK for a few innings here. The Astros have the superior bullpen and offense even if all of their regulars don't play. There's a possibility the Astros get back Carlos Correa, too.
