The A's have lost their last nine games when taking on an American League East opponent. Don't expect them to end that streak in this matchup. The spot and pitching matchup is so much against them that I feel confident laying 1 1/2 runs on the run line to get a much better price on Tampa Bay.

Tampa Bay starter Charlie Morton is 7-0 with a 2.30 ERA. He has established himself as one of the better pitchers in the American League.

Going for Oakland is Tanner Anderson. He pitched six games in relief for the Pirates last season and had a 6.35 ERA. This will be his big league starting debut. Anderson had a 6.26 ERA in 11 games in Triple A this season.

The A's are in a desperate pitching spot after playing a doubleheader on Saturday and then again on Sunday not arriving in Tampa Bay until late.

Tampa Bay is averaging 6.1 runs in its last seven games discounting a 5-1 loss to Boston.
