Vancouver is a slightly below average defensive club. The Canucks, though, are not nearly as bad as they've been the past two games giving up a combined 14 goals during their Florida road trip in losses to the Lightning and Panthers. 
Now the Canucks are in upstate New York to face the Sabres with a strong attitude to clamp down defensively. The Sabres are below average offensively. They are averaging just two goals per game during their last nine games. 
The Sabres have held six of their last eight foes to three goals or fewer. 
Note the early start, which is an added plus for the Under.
