Lester has a 0.82 ERA and 0.55 WHIP in 11 innings this season. He has a 2.62 lifetime ERA in nine appearances at Busch Stadium. 
The Cardinals are slated to go with Daniel Ponce de Leon, who has yet to prove he's capable of being in a big league rotation.
