The Royals are pitching lefty Danny Duffy. The White Sox are batting .303 versus southpaws, second-highest in the league. They have the highest sluggest percentage (.571) and highest OPS (.948) against lefties. 
Chicago just saw Duffy six days ago. The White Sox got to him for four runs (three earned) on seven hits, including two homers, in 5 2/3 innings. Duffy has a 5.60 career ERA versus the White Sox when pitching at Kauffman Stadium. 
Kansas City draws highly-promising Dylan Cease, who displayed his vast potential finishing August by going 4-1 with a 2.14 ERA and 26 strikeouts in six starts. Cease may not have to deal with the Royals' most feared slugger as Jorge Soler left yesterday's game with an oblique irritation.
