Stephen Nover's NHL Tuesday Terminator
(NHL) Chicago vs. Columbus,
Money Line: -115.00 Columbus (Home)
Result: Loss
The price is low enough to back the Blue Jackets against the Blackhawks, who have lost 18 of the last 24 times they've been a road 'dog. Chicago has fattened its record by going 4-0 against the hapless Red Wings.
Columbus coach John Tortorella ripped his team following a 4-2 home loss to Nashville this past Saturday. The Blue Jackets haven't played since. They should be raring to go.
Rookie goalie Kevin Lankinen has been a revelation for the Blackhawks with a 2.42 GAA and .927 save percentage. I'm expecting some regression, though. The Blackhawks aren't good defensively and they have a lot of youth. Lankinen has given up five or more goals in two of his last four games. Columbus has scored at least three goals in seven of its last nine games.
