Best American League pitcher in April? Allow me to nominate Carlos Rodon, who went 4-0 with a 0.72 ERA. Rodon has given up just two earned runs in 25 innings and has 36 strikeouts. 


The Royals had been a major surprise, but reality is catching to them. They've lost five in a row to fall out of first place in the AL Central. The Royals are hoping Brad Keller, backed by a cold Royals bullpen that has a 5.80 ERA during the last two weeks, can halt the skid.

Not in this spot, though. 

Keller hasn't contributed to the Royals' early success with an 8.06 ERA.
