Let me see if I have this right. Winnipeg leads this series 2-0. The Jets have outscored the Oilers, 5-1, in the two games both of which were in Edmonton. Connor Hellebuyck is a hot goalie.

Now the scene shifts to Winnipeg. So the Jets should be favored, right? Wrong. 

The oddsmaker is telling you who is likely going to win by making Edmonton a solid road favorite. I'll take their word and back the Oilers in the firm belief that superstars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl can't be held down for three consecutive games. Those are the rare two who trump a hot goalie and a foe that has been playing outstanding defense. 

Edmonton has done its best work on the road lately winning its past seven away contests of which three came against the Jets. The Oilers have been trustworthy in this role winning 13 of the last 16 when installed as road favorites. 

Take note, too, that Winnipeg has lost seven of its past nine home games.
