The White Sox were no match for the Astros in Game 1 of their playoff series losing, 6-1, on Thursday in Houston. 

I expect a much stronger performance from the White Sox here in this Game 2 with the pitching matchup being Lucas Giolito versus lefty Framber Valdez. 

Giolito last faced the Astros back on July 17. He held Houston to one run with eight strikeouts in going the distance. The White Sox smashed the Astros, 10-1, in that game.

The White Sox have dominated lefthanded pitching the past couple of years going 40-17 against southpaw starters. 

Chicago ranked among the top five American League teams in the major hitting categories versus lefties, including batting average, slugging percentage and on-base percentage.
