Stephen Nover CBB Free Thursday Play
(NCAAB) Appalachian State vs. Duke,
Point Spread: 22.00 | -110.00 Appalachian State (Away)
Result: Loss
Duke often is overvalued on the betting line. I find that to be the case here.

This is just the Blue Devils' second game of the month. It's also their last game before they begin ACC play. It's an easy opponent, too, for Duke. All of these factors may prevent the Blue Devils from reaching a peak level performance.

Appalachian State is capable. The 6-5 Mountaineers rank 18th in the nation in defensive scoring, holding opponents to 58 points. Their guard-oriented lineup plays tough perimeter defense. Appalachian State rates seventh in the country in defensive 3-point percentage.

The Mountaineers also have a good bench. This could be crucial if Duke should build up a big lead and the point spread determination comes down to garbage time.

(Editor's note: Stephen Nover is 5-0 on his last five NFL Max Unit plays and has his Thursday Night Game of the Year in the Chiefs-Chargers matchup along with an NBA and college basketball total. Stephen is 20-9 on his last 29 NBA premium/free plays and 6-1 on his CBB totals this month.)
