(MLB) Philadelphia vs. Washington,
Point Spread: -1.50 | -128.00 Philadelphia (Away)
Result: Win
Since firing Joe Girardi, the Phillies have won 10 of 12 games with eight of those victories coming by multiple runs.

The Nationals are 2-7 in their last nine games. They have the most losses by more than one run in the league.

So it should be safe laying 1 1/2 runs with the Phillies especially with the pitching matchup being Zack Wheeler versus Patrick Corbin.

Wheeler has been one of the hottest pitchers giving up two or fewer earned runs in seven of his last eight starts. He probably won't have to face Juan Soto, the Nationals' best hitter. Soto has missed the past two games with a knee injury.

Corbin is in the discussion for worst starting pitcher in the majors. He has a 6.65 ERA. Washington is 3-10 in Corbin's starts with all but one of those defeats occurring by more than one run. Corbin can expect little help from a terrible Phillies bullpen.
