(MLB) Philadelphia vs. San Francisco,
Money Line: 106.00 Philadelphia (Away)
Result: Loss
The pitching matchup is Kyle Gibson versus Alex Cobb. I'd rate those veterans close to even, but this is an action play for me getting a plus price to fade the fading Giants.

San Francisco is at low ebb now 10 1/2 games back of the final wild-card spot. Regression was coming for the Giants with the retirement of Buster Posey and having finished with the best regular season record last year. That regression has hit with full force as the Giants are 2-11 in their last 13 games. They have lost their last seven games.

The Phillies are averaging 7.3 runs during their past eight games, discounting a 5-0 loss to the Pirates. Bryce Harper is back in Philadelphia's lineup. The Giants don't have any star near the caliber of Harper.

San Francisco is 1-10 the past 11 times facing a righthander. The Giants are 7-14 in Cobb's starts with them this year. Not surprising since Cobb has been a disappointment with a 4.05 ERA and 1.31 WHIP.
