This should be a low-scoring affair with a pitching matchup of Triston McKenzie versus Brady Singer. Nothing against McKenzie, but I'm going to fade the Guardians in order to get a plus price on Kansas City. Cleveland has lost five in a row, all by three or more runs.

The Guardians also are in a tough spot. They had to travel after sitting through a 4 1/2-hour rain delay in their extra inning home loss to the Mariners Sunday.

Singer should hold his own against McKenzie. He's enjoying a breakout season and has been at his best at Kauffman Stadium where's 6-2 with a 3.01 ERA this season. Singer has a 2.34 ERA since the All-Star break.
