Going back to the middle of last season, Western Kentucky has been on a scoring tear. The Hilltoppers are averaging 45.3 points during their last 15 games. Star quarterback Bailey Zappe has moved on to the Patriots, but the Hilltoppers remain potent behind quarterback Austin Reed, who has accounted for 19 TD's in five games this season.

Western Kentucky certainly is not going to lack motivation taking on Texas San Antonio, which beat them, 49-41, in the Conference USA championship game last year.

The Roadrunners are averaging 38.6 points. However, they are terrible on defense ranking 115th in scoring defense allowing 34 points per game, 116th in total yards and 107th in run defense. The Roadrunners have only two takeaways.

The Hilltoppers have much better defensive numbers, including holding foes to 22.2 points and ranking 39th in run defense. They've also come up with nine takeaways.

Western Kentucky has covered five of its last six road contests and is 6-1 ATS in its last seven conference matchups.

So don't be surprised if Western Kentucky outscores San Antonio to pull off the upset.
