Stephen Nover's CFL Game of the Week - 21-9-2 (70%) CFL!
(CFL) Elks (EDM) vs. Tiger-Cats (HAM),
Money Line: -125.00 Elks (EDM) (Away)
Result: Win
This is a battle of 2-7 teams. But there's a difference. Edmonton has momentum with two straight victories, while Hamilton is reeling after consecutive losses to Montreal.

The Elks upset Saskatchewan, 42-31, on the road two weeks ago. Edmonton then knocked off BC, 33-16, this past Sunday. Elks QB Tre Ford was injured. But I'm fine with Edmonton even if Ford doesn't play. I trust veteran McLeod Bethel-Thompson and a balanced Elks attack.

The Elks piled up more than 450 yards against the Lions last week, picking up more than 200 through the air and on the ground. Bethel-Thompson was 14-of-18 passing.

Edmonton is averaging 34.3 points in its last three games.

Morale is low in Hamilton. The Tiger-Cats also have a quarterback controversy. Hamilton coach Scott Milanovich is going to keep starting Taylor Powell instead of veteran Bo Levi Mitchell, who was benched last week. Powell can't expect much from a ground attack that ranks last in the league.

The Tiger-Cats also surrender the most points per game at 31.9.
