Stephen Nover's NFL Thursday Top Ticket - 14-4 NFL Hot Streak
(NFL) Broncos (DEN) vs. Saints (NO),
Money Line: -127.00 Broncos (DEN) (Away)
Result: Win
Money Line: -127.00 Broncos (DEN) (Away)
Result: Win
After the first two weeks of this season, the Saints looked like one of the best teams in the NFL.
Now, five weeks later, they are one of the worst.
New Orleans has lost four in a row. The worst of those defeats came this past Sunday when Tampa Bay destroyed New Orleans, 51-27. The Saints gave up 594 yards to the Buccaneers.
The Saints are extremely banged-up. Rookie Spencer Rattler is in for Derek Carr. New Orleans has multiple offensive line injuries and probably will be minus its two best wide receivers.
This game is Thursday so it will be the Saints' third game in 11 days.
Denver already held a huge coaching mismatch with Sean Payton against Dennis Allen. That edge could be magnified with Payton returning for the first time to New Orleans where he coached the Saints from 2006-2021. You know Payton will go all out to win this game.
I'm not a fan of Bo Nix, but I rate him ahead of Rattler.
Denver holds a huge defensive edge, too, even if star cornerback Patrick Surtain can't play. The Broncos rank in the top-five in scoring defense, total defense and pass defense. The Saints give up the most yards per game in the NFL.
