(NFL) Texans (HOU) vs. Jets (NYJ),
Money Line: -124.00 Jets (NYJ) (Home)
Result: Win
It's easy to focus on the Jets' 2-6 record. Certainly the Jets are a major disappointment. But this is the right spot to buy low on a team whose record is misleading.

The Jets are at low ebb because of a road loss to lowly New England this past Sunday. The Jets outgained the Patriots by nearly 100 yards. New York has lost four games by a combined 13 points, an average of 3.2 points per defeat. These narrow defeats came to the Patriots, Bills, Broncos and Vikings. The combined record of the Bills, Broncos and Vikings is 16-7.

The Jets can't take a loss here. They are playing for their season. New York's offense is upgraded with Davante Adams joining Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall to provide Aaron Rodgers plenty of star power.

Yes, the Jets have multiple injuries on defense. But so do the Texans. Houston also is heavily impacted offensively with the loss of its two best wideouts, Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs. The Texans' No. 3 wide receiver, Tank Dell, has failed to step up. He's having a horrible season.

There is less urgency here for the Texans, who have a two-game lead in the AFC South Division and a pair of victories against second-place Indianapolis. It's a difficult situational spot for the Texans traveling to the East Coast on a short week following a big division win against the Colts.
