Stephen Nover's CFL November Game of the Month
(CFL) Roughriders (SSK) vs. Blue Bombers (WPG),
Point Spread: 4.50 | -110.00 Roughriders (SSK) (Away)
Result: Loss
Just like during their regular season matches, this CFL semi-final playoff game between Saskatchewan and Winnipeg is going to be close. So taking more than a field goal with the Roughriders is huge, especially since I'm not convinced Winnipeg is the better team.

Winnipeg has the best defense in the CFL and the top running back, Brady Oliveira.

Saskatchewan has the superior passing attack and ranks first in run defense allowing 80.3 yards a game. While the Blue Bombers surrender the fewest points per game, the Roughriders rank third in scoring defense, second in defensive total yards and second in takeaways with 24. The Roughriders turned the ball over only five times for a plus 19 takeaway/giveaway ratio.

Roughriders QB Trevor Harris threw for more than 278 yards in six of his last nine starts since returning in Week 11. Winnipeg had the fewest sacks in the league. So Harris should have time to throw.

The Blue Bombers are hot. So is Saskatchewan, however, going 5-1 SU and ATS in its last six games.

During the regular season, the Roughriders beat the Blue Bombers by 10 points and lost twice to them by a combined seven points.
