Stephen Nover's Run Line Game of the Week
(MLB) Texas vs. Colorado,

Result: Loss
Who has the worst record in the major leagues? Hint, it's not the White Sox nor the Marlins. The distinction goes to Colorado with its miserable 9-28 record.

The Rockies host the defending world champion Rangers, who have picked up their pace winning five of their last six games. The Rangers go into Coors Field ranked third in runs, with a pumped-up Jon Gray facing his former team and a rested bullpen.

I'm expecting a Rangers' blowout so I'm laying 1 1/2 runs on the run line.

Gray knows Coors Field well, something that can't be taken for granted when an American League team plays there. Gray pitched seven years for the Rockies, making 74 starts at Coors compiling a 4.54 ERA there. That's respectable for Coors Field. His 9.2 strikeouts per nine innings are the most of any Rockies pitcher in team history. He ranks third all-time in strikeouts in Colorado history.

Gray is pitching well this season with a 2.50 ERA and 42 strikeouts in 39 2/3 innings.

Colorado defeated the Giants on Thursday. The Rockies haven't won two straight games all season. I don't see the Rockies putting together their first two-game win streak starting Austin Gomber, who has yet to win, and ranking 24th in runs despite having played 18 games at Coors Field, the premier hitting park in the majors.
