The Yankees have the best record in the American League. But the Mariners and Luis Castillo, an elite starter, aren't getting enough respect being this big of road underdogs.

Seattle is having a strong season, too, leading the AL West Division. The Mariners have two of the first three games of this series. Castillo is their No. 1 starter on a tremendous pitching staff.

The Yankees are going with Luis Gil. I like him a lot and am still kicking myself for not bidding enough to get him during my American League Rotisserie auction. Finally healthy, Gill is 5-1 with a 2.39 ERA. He's coming off a 14-strikeout game against the White Sox this past Saturday.

Potentially, Gil is in Castillo's class. But he's not there. Castillo hasn't allowed more than two earned runs during his last seven starts. He has a 2.84 career ERA vs the Yankees in five starts.

Baseball is all about value being such a long season. I see enough value to throw a peanut on the Mariners here.
