Boston shouldn't be this high of a favorite.

Lester does not have a good recent history against the White Sox at Fenway Park going 0-2 with an 8.82 ERA in his last three home starts. Quintana, on the other hand, has thrown 14 1/3 scoreless innings versus Boston in two career starts. During his past four overall starts, Quintana is 2-0 with a 0.94 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 28 2/3 innings.

Quintana has established consistency this season allowing three earned runs or less in 15 of 18 starts. His ERA, FIP and strikeous-per-nine innings are at career bests.

Both pitchers are lefties. The White Sox have a .500 mark against southpaws this season while the Red Sox have lost nine of their past 11 against left-handers.
