The Phillies are 9-4 in their last 13 games and have won four in a row at home. They came within one run of sweeping Washington.

Now the Phillies are home facing southpaw Jeff Locke, who had one of his worst starts this past Tuesday giving up five run on four hits and five walks in three-plus innings in a 6-4 loss to the Cardinals.

The Phillies are 19-16 versus lefties. The Pirates have lost five of Locke's last six road outings.

Philadelphia starter Kyle Kendrick has his best splits when pitching at home in the evening. He is off his best start of the year a 4-0 win against Atlanta this past Tuesday. Kendrick held the Braves to three hits in seven innings to win his third consecutive start.

The Pirates are still likely to be without Pedro Alvarez and breakout star Josh Harrison.
