Stephen Nover's Unbeaten World Series Winner
(MLB) Kansas City vs. San Francisco,
Money Line: 118.00 Kansas City (Away)
Result: Loss
I'm not a fan of Ryan Vogelsong, plus the Royals are loose and now know what it is like to play at AT&T Park. All the pressure is on the Giants in this Game 4.

I like taking the Royals with all these past factors going too: Kansas City is 5-0 in its five playoff road games and 39-18 during its last 58 away matchups. Kansas City is 36-17 the past 53 times when facing a right-hander. Kansas City is 17-5 in its past 22 Interleague games, including 9-1 during its last 10 Interleague road games. Kansas City is 9-1 following a victory.

The Giants just aren't going against lefty Jason Vargas, who happens to be the first southpaw starter they've seen since Oct. 7. San Francisco has to deal with the best seventh, eighth and ninth inning bullpen in baseball.

As mentioned in my first sentence, I don't like Vogelsong especially in such a huge game. He's a finesse pitcher whose strength is getting hitters to swing at pitches just off the corner. In baseball terms, the 37-year-old Vogelsong is a nibbler at this stage of his career.

The Royals hitters are too disciplined to chase and too talented not to take advantage if Vogelsong misses and has to come to the meat of the plate where his stuff isn't strong enough.

Vogelsong did not look good during his start in the NLCS against the Cardinals at home. He gave up four earned runs on seven hits and two walks in just three innings in a 6-4 loss.

Vargas has a 2.75 road ERA. He held the Orioles to one run on two hits in 5 1/3 innings in the ALCS during his last start. Vargas held the Angels to two runs on three hits and one walk in six innings in his previous start before that during the first-round of the playoffs.
