The Isles are coming off back to back losses in one goal games. They battled back to tie the game at Montreal only to conceded the game winner late in the third period. Prior to that they dominated play against the Golden Knights but ran into a hot goaltender. Now they are back at home, catching the Florida Panthers in the second game of a back to back after winning in a shootout last night. The Islanders are playing just their fourth game under new head coach Patrick Roy, and they are likely to be the more motivated team here.
