Taking the PADRES here. Have to grab Pomeranz as a small dog her. I mean, maybe Ryu comes in 100% and strikes out 8 in 6 innings and the Dodgers win easily. But the guy hasn't faced real live MLB hitters in 640 days! The Triple A hitters slapped him with an 8+ ERA and .378 BA against. I get that it's a rehab and you are just getting back in the groove. But show me something. I don't care 80 pitches in single A ball. He isn't going deep in the game. LAD did use 8 relief pitchers in yesterday's marathon (we cashed on the O's) but they only pitched an inning. That is still a long day for everyone at the park. So Pomeranz has been on my radar since being shipped to Oakland and escaping Colorado. The kid has good stuff. A tough little lefty coming into his prime. The record is not good, but the ERA is fantastic. 2.65 .191 BA against, 1.09 WHIP and 109Ks in 95 innings. A 2.66 road ERA coupled with a 1.08 WHIP and .177 BA against gives us a solid shot vs a tired lineup tonight. 4* Money Maker SAN DIEGO PADRES
