Taking the WHITE SOX, again. Cashed last night with these guys and will grab Shields at this price. Have to say. This looks a little fishy with Oakland laying this heavy a number. I get the Sox have won just 18 games on the road. But the A's are 22-21 at home. They have now dropped 6 straight. Are they due? Is that why this line is so high? Shields has pitched pretty well on the road this season. A 2.65 ERA in 3 starts, .219 BA against and 1.18 WHIP aren't ugly numbers. Shields was mauled at home by Oakland giving up 6 earned in 3 innings just over a week ago. I think we see a total opposite this afternoon. Gossett has lost 3 of 4 starts. 2 bad, 2 good. Like yesterday, he stymied the Sox in Chicago going 6 giving up 2 unearned runs on 5 hits with 6Ks. But 2nd time around for the youngster will be tougher.
